The processor is the most important part of a computer.  including information security. When you use a foreign processor. you cannot prove that it works as it should according to the official documentation. This is not a fairy tale. but a fact. If we want to have security guarantees. we will have to use processors of our own design. This is always a clear transition: there was an Intel architecture. now there is another one. To make this transition. you need to overcome a certain potential barrier. transfer the software and optimize it for a new. different architecture. We understand that. on the one hand. the transition to Russian processors is very important. and on dataset  the other hand. it is labor-intensive and requires support.” said Konstantin Trushkin.

In his opinion. regulators could provide such support. He noted that using a domestic processor is safer than a foreign one. However. another participant in the discussion. Deputy General Director of JSC InfoTeKS Dmitry Gusev. did not agree with him.

According to him. digital marketing for business: a guide to increasing leads  about six or seven years ago the company tried to work with Elbrus processors. but faced a shortage of personnel capable of rewriting the software for the new architecture. And there was no solution to this problem back then.

“I would suggest dating data thinking not about how the regulator will force the customer to buy the Elbrus solution. but rather how regulators and government agencies will help build the human ecosystem of Elbrus. How they will encourage students to do this and how they will provide them with the material base so that in five or eight years we will not be fighting with competitors for the same specialists.” said Dmitry Gusev.
