Lidl, trying not to lose its way

 

It entered the Spanish market almost 20 years ago! with great uncertainty but with enormous potential to lead in Spain.

 

It arrived in Burgos as a local supermarket ! but the concept didn’t quite catch on with its target audience . So! in the short term (five years)! they changed their location to become a hybrid supermarket and hypermarket .

Their advertising is based on attracting customers with their bazaar offering! with all kinds of products ! from clothing to appliances !
with a good price-quality ratio! but they fail at the most basic point! the reason why
people will be interested in buying at the establishment.

If we decide trying not  that our supermarket

 

is going to sell bazaar! we should project an image of coherence and sell only bazaar products! specializing in a niche or in a strategy of good price/quality ratio . However! if we  macedonia phone number library are interested in being the best supermarket and leading the way in selling food! we must always offer the best quality at competitive prices . And Lidl has not specialized in either concept .

Currently! they are  attracting clients for psychologists – building a sales funnel using email and chatbots trying to change their brand image from being valued as a cheap supermarket/hypermarket to a mixed price-quality strategy ( Quality is not expensive )! trying to improve the products without underestimating the quality offered! but they still have a long way to go .

We remember that Lidl

 

is a German brand with a significant market share in its country and in neighboring countries (Czech Republic! Switzerland! France! Slovak Republic) it also has a high penetration!

The ideal supermarket for Spanish consumers is Mercadona ! because it combines well-defined concepts that they have tried to progressively improve ; I already talked about this topic in another post .
